Building Types

Buildings come in all shapes and sizes.

Their particular usage and energy footprints are diverse and unique. Building size, type, and usage factors will ALL be factored into your building's benchmarking score in order to ensure that data comparisons are fair and accurate.

Any commercial building can use Portfolio Manager to benchmark energy use. The following is a list of the most common space types, all of which are eligible to receive Portfolio Manager score. Buildings that do not fit into one of these categories are still required to benchmark energy and water use, and can take advantage of the many other useful performance metrics included in Portfolio Manager.
